Even with full-color strokes of the brush, the colors are, for the most part, transparent enough to show structure lines of an under drawing. Each pan has its own wiping edge to remove excess pigment for better color control. The well designed plastic palette box includes two water containers that detach for use when not securing the set for travel or storage.
